Volition and Deep Silver have just released an image that confirms the return of popular Saints Row character, Johnny Gat. The news follows the release of the games voice cast, including celebrity appearances from Neil Patrick Harris and Platoon’s Keith David.

When Saints Row IV lead designer Scott Phillips was questioned by us at a press event earlier this year about the return of Johnny Gat, Phillips responded with “Ya never know. I would never say never for Johnny Gat… he’s a tough guy.” Apparently, Johnny Gat is a lot tougher than we gave him credit for, as he’s back for more in Saints Row IV.

In addition, the full voice cast for Saints Row IV was revealed earlier today and we’re happy to see that Robin Downes, the “cockney” player voice and our personal favourite, is returning to the role in the upcoming title. Unsurprisingly there are plenty of celebrity appearances, including Platoon’s Keith David, who will be playing himself.

Keith David – As himself
Danielle Nicolet – Shaundi
Jennifer Jules Hart – Shaundi #2
Natalie Lander – Kinzie Kensington
Terry Crews – Benjamin King
JB Blanc – Zinyak/Phillipe Loren
Michael Dorn – Maero
Neil Patrick Harris – DJ Veteran Child
Yuri Lowenthal – Matt Miller
Arif Kinchen – Pierce Washington
Tim Thomerson – Cyrus Temple
Mike Carlucci – Zach
Rob Van Dam – Bobby
Rebecca Riedy – Asha Odekar
Andrew Bowen – Josh Birk/NyteBlayde

Quite how the character will make a return in Saints Row IV is yet to be seen, however I’m sure all will be explained by Deep Silver and Volition soon.
