Following Japan’s Wii U announcement this morning, Nintendo have announced the release date, retail prices and launch details about their next gen console, the Wii U, for EU and the USA.

Just the facts:

Release date: November 18th in the USA, November 30th in Europe

Basic bundle contents: White 8GB console, white GamePad, AC adapter, an HDMI cable and a sensor bar ($299/£259.99)

Premium bundle contents: Black 32GB console, black GamePad, AC adapter, an HDMI cable, console stand, GamePad dock, sensor bar, a Nintendo Network Premium subscription and Nintendo Land ($349/£309.99)

ZombiU bundle contents: ZombiU skinned 32GB console, black GamePad, AC adapter, an HDMI cable, console stand, GamePad dock, sensor bar, a Nintendo Network Premium subscription, black Pro controller and a copy of ZombiU (£349.99)

System specs: 1GB of system memory, 1GB of game memory, 1080p resolution, horizontal size of 46 mm x 172 mm x 268.5 mm, 75 watts of power (45 watts in power save mode) and will support previous Wii accessories and software including the Virtual Console and WiiWare

Accessories: Wii Remote Plus Additional Set, which contains a Wii Remote Plus, nunchuk and sensor bar, GamePad bundled with an AC adaptor, Pro Controller, Console stand, GamePad dock, GamePad stand, Sensor bar, Wiimote, Nunchuck

Launch titles: New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, Zombi U, Mass Effect 3 Special Edition, FIFA 3, Rayman Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Toki Tori 2, Trine 2: Directors Cut and Nano Assault Neo.

The Wii U releases on November 18th in the USA at $299 for the Basic bundle and $349 for the Premium bundle. European Wii U release date is November 30th with prices to be announced by retailers later today. GAME have listed the prices as £259.99 for the Basic bundle, £309.99 for the Premium bundle and £349.99 for the ZombiU bundle.

The Basic bundle includes a white 8GB console, white GamePad, AC adapter, an HDMI cable and a sensor bar. The Premium bundle includes a black 32GB console, black GamePad, AC adapter, an HDMI cable, console stand, GamePad dock, sensor bar, a Nintendo Network Premium subscription and Nintendo Land.

A ZombiU Wii U bundle has also been confirmed for Europe that is essentially the same as the Premium bundle but with a ZombiU skin, black Pro Controller and of course, a copy of ZombiU.

None of the bundles include Wiimotes.

A Starter Accessory Pack will be sold separately for those that don’t own a Wii called the Wii Remote Plus Additional Set, which contains a Wii Remote Plus, nunchuk and sensor bar.

There will be nine games for Nov 30th UK Wii U launch with 26 more to follow in the launch window that goes into 2013. There are a total of 50 Wii U games planned for release from Nov 18 2012 to March 2013.

ZombiU has been confirmed as a Wii U launch title, alongside Mass Effect 3 Special Edition, FIFA 3, Rayman Legends and the earlier announced Call of Duty: Black Ops II, New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land. Pikmin 3 is due for release later this year along with the highly anticipated Bayonetta 2 and LEGO City Undercover which will be Wii U exclusive.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has also been confirmed for Wii U and 3DS in Europe and North America. It is scheduled for a March 2013 release.
