Bigpoint, the developers behind EA’s Battlefield Heroes, have revealed that the name of the new free-to-play Game Of Thrones MMO will be titled Game Of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms, taken from the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
“By selecting Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms we’re confident that we’ve chosen an identifiable name that will resonate with the global community of diehard Thrones fans.” said Max Pfaff, Producer at Bigpoint.
Those lucky enough to be attending San Diego Comic-Con on July 12-15 will have the opportunity to get an exclusive first look at the Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms trailer by at the Dark Horse booth 2615. The teaser is said to capture the “essence of gameplay and visual fidelity that players will get to experience when the game is launched.”
GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS AHEAD
Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms is set within the Game Of Thrones lore and begins after the deaths of King Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark. The Starks of the north declare war on the south and Baratheon’s two brothers both make claims to the throne. Players are challenged to form alliances through Player vs. Player (PvP), Siege combat and politics to control Westeros.
Gamers can sign up the Game Of Thrones Seven Kingdoms beta slated to start later this year.
