Konami have announced that Alucard will be available as a playable character in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow’s title leap to the 3DS, Castlevania: Mirror Of Fate. There’s also a brief glimpse of the fan favourite character in the game’s latest trailer.
Alucard (or Dracula spelt backwards) is the son of Dracula and as well as being very handy with a blade, also possesses the ability to use dark magic attack, as well as shapeshift. He’s previously joined Trevor’s side as a playable character in Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse as well as featuring as the main protagonist in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate takes place 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and reveals the story of Gabriel Belmont’s descendants, Simon and Trevor Belmont, as they battle their own destiny to discover their true, shocking fate.
Additional information about Alucard and just how he will be involved in the new game will be revealed during the 2012 Gamescom event.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will be released this Autumn for the 3DS.
