New Mass Effect 3 DLC Adds Vorcha

A now removed listing on the Sony Hong Kong website has listed Mass Effect 3’s, titled Rebellion, which is said to add two new maps, three new weapons and six fresh character classes, including a Vorcha class.

The listing for the new multiplayer DLC, following Resurgence, stated that “The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard.”

Vorcha are well recognised in the Mass Effect universe as being a primitive and aggressive race with a society based around combat and have been known to be used as mercenaries for hire, particularly by the Krogan Blood Pack.

Another interesting note is the Phoenix Adept and Vanguard race and classes. Could Protheans possibly be coming to join the ranks of the multiplayer? The Javik DLC was titled ‘From Ashes’, suggesting a pheonix theme, so it certainly could be the case. The two Quarian classes already exist as well so this could be suggesting male counterparts to be added.

Whilst there has currently been no confirmation from EA or Bioware about the new Rebellion pack, the listing certainly seems legitimate and we can probably expect that the pack will be made available for free, much like the Resurgence DLC.

Mass Effect 3 is out now for X360, PS3 and PC.

It's been confirmed as a fake by Bioware.

Seems strange to me considering there already is a Quarian Infiltrator and Engineer. And what on earth is a Phoenix?
